Does human trafficking exist in Luxembourg?
YES, IT DOES.
Currently, 29 people identified as victims of human trafficking are being monitored by the InfoTraite and Judicial Police services in Luxembourg.
On European Anti-Trafficking Day, 18 October 2025, the InfoTraite service will be present at the Cloche d'Or from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. An awareness-raising stand will enable the public to discover the reality of trafficking in Luxembourg and to better understand this plague, which is still too often invisible and ignored.
At 12:15 p.m., our psychologists will host a conference entitled ‘ La traite des êtres humains: de la bienveillance à la malveillance, ou quand l’être humain nuit gravement au bien-être de ses pairs ’.
Visitors will have the opportunity to exchange views with InfoTraite staff. The public will also be able to discover the results of creative and artistic workshops. Each visitor will be able to take home an object that illustrates a journey of resilience and strength: tote bags printed with paintings by victims of trafficking, key rings made in workshops, and postcards from a photography project.
InfoTraite is the national platform specialising in supporting victims of human trafficking. Created through a collaboration between Femmes en Détresse (FED), Fondation Maison de la Porte Ouverte (FMPO) and Hëllef Um Terrain (HUT), it offers comprehensive support to identified victims in Luxembourg.
Your donation is essential to ensure the continuity of Hëllef um Terrain actions in the service of the poor.
