United against precariousness

Winter is fast approaching, and with it, poverty becomes even harder to bear. The cold, isolation and difficult living conditions make every day even more challenging for those who are already suffering.

Poverty is not going away. And behind the figures, there are lives. Families who count every penny to fill their fridges. Men and women who no longer have a roof over their heads. Children growing up in precarious situations.

Our teams work alongside them every day, with limited resources but boundless determination. They distribute aid, offer advice, welcome people, listen and lend a helping hand.

Today, we need your help. Our organisations operate thanks to the commitment of public authorities and loyal partners, but this is not enough. Needs are increasing, while resources are stagnating or even decreasing. However, we remain confident and driven by one certainty: every gesture of solidarity counts.

Your support can make a difference. It can enable a family to eat healthily, a homeless person to sleep in the warm, and a human being to regain a little dignity and hope.

COMBATING PRECARIOUSNESS - SOCIAL GROCERY STORES

Our four social grocery stores (Luxembourg, Esch-sur-Alzette, Rédange, Diekirch) enable people living in poverty to purchase high-quality food products, hygiene and personal care items, and fresh fruit and vegetables at greatly reduced prices.

What we offer:

• Essential products at reduced prices
• Personalised advice
• Kleederstuff - second-hand clothing shop

Your donations enable us to welcome and support around 4,000 beneficiaries per year.

SUPPORT FOR HOMELESS PEOPLE - BEING THERE WHEN EVERYTHING IS LACKING

Our emergency facilities welcome homeless people for a day, a night or a longer period, depending on their needs. Some facilities are reserved for women to ensure safety and privacy. In winter, we also partner with Wanteraktioun.

What we offer:

• Temporary accommodation
• A welcoming daytime environment
• Meals, sanitary facilities, lockers, laundry facilities
• Individualised social support

Your donations improve reception conditions and enable us to provide humane and dignified support.

TOWARDS A NEW FUTURE - HOUSING, SUPPORT, RECONSTRUCTION

Too many refugees and people in precarious situations live in unacceptable conditions, with no prospects for the future. That is why we work every day to find sustainable housing for those seeking to rebuild their lives.

What we do:

• Search for housing
• Personalised support: administrative, social, logistical
• Regular follow-up with tenants and landlords
• Support for independence: day-to-day management, social and professional integration
