A Wonderful Day of Sharing at a Shashlyk Barbecue

Organised by the shelter Differdange 10 , the Shashlyk Barbecue (traditional marinated meat skewers) was a wonderful opportunity for people to come together in a spirit of conviviality, solidarity and cultural exchange. Residents, partners, volunteers and visitors enjoyed a day filled with meaningful conversations, smiles and good cheer.

The success of this event would not have been possible without the valuable support of numerous partners whom we would like to warmly thank.

First and foremost, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to Social Impact for its generous support, which made this wonderful day possible.

We also wish to thank the City of Differdange for its trust and collaboration. Thanks to the provision of this beautiful venue in Lasauvage, participants were able to enjoy an exceptional and welcoming setting.

A special thank you goes to the team from Caritas Jeunes et Familles, whose wooden games and activities brought people of all ages together, creating a particularly warm and friendly atmosphere.

We would also like to thank Atelier Exil for its lively and inspiring clown performance, which brought smiles and laughter to children and adults alike throughout the afternoon.

Our thanks also go to the American Women's Club, whose delicious cake, shared with all participants, was greatly appreciated and added to the convivial spirit of the day.

Finally, we would like to highlight the remarkable involvement of our residents. Their active participation in the preparation of the event, setting up the venue, serving guests and tidying up afterwards was essential to its success. Their commitment, motivation and team spirit made a significant contribution to ensuring everything ran smoothly.

Beyond the barbecue itself, this event perfectly illustrates the power of collective effort. When partners, associations, institutions and residents join forces around a common goal, it becomes possible to create meaningful moments that promote inclusion, solidarity and living together.
