‘Compassionate care is an ethical culture that conditions individual and collective actions as well as interpersonal relations within an organisation. Its aim is to promote the well-being of people in need, bearing in mind the need to reduce any risk of abuse. It covers a set of positive and constant attitudes and behaviours of respect, good care, trust, encouragement and help towards people or groups in vulnerable or dependent situations’.

The well-being of our beneficiaries is at the heart of our commitment!
HUT - Hëllef um Terrain attaches the utmost importance to compassionate care and, when it was founded in October 2024, asked to become a member of Bientraitance asbl. In January 2025, HUT - Hëllef um Terrain became a member. As such, it undertook to respect the 10 principles of the Bientraitance Charter (in French):
The Bientraitance programme also includes compulsory awareness and prevention training for all staff, as well as an internal network of multipliers to put the Bientraitance culture into practice in the departments and encourage discussion with staff. It relies on the commitment of our employees and volunteers, who make compassionate care a daily reality in their actions and words.
Finally, HUT - Hëllef um Terrain has appointed Nonna Sehovic as its Bientraitance coordinator. Her role is to coordinate actions and initiatives to promote Bientraitance within HUT - Hëllef um Terrain, as well as to provide information and advice. Don't hesitate to contact her for further information and discussion.
