Le Courage

The social bistrot "Le Courage” in Luxembourg-Bonnevoie welcomes people who live on the streets.

A safe place

The bistrot social “Le Courage” is a safe place and a refuge for those who have nowhere else to go. “Le Courage” allows them to rest for a few hours during the day in a safe place, without any constraints.

People are accepted as they are

The bistrot social operates on a ‘low threshold’ basis. The requirements for users are very low and, apart from non-violence and respect for others, nothing is asked of those who come. The main thing is that they are safe, that they can rest and, if they want, ask for help.

Combating loneliness and exclusion

At the bistrot social ‘Le Courage’, people find a listening ear and a kind hand. If they wish, they can request social support and guidance through the Luxembourg support network.

Essential services for those living on the streets

In addition to providing free coffee, tea, water, sandwiches (morning and afternoon) and soup (from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm), the social bistro offers homeless people:

  • the opportunity to take a shower;
  • the opportunity to do laundry;
  • a rest area with mattresses to rest for a few moments;
  • lockers to store belongings during the day.

Reservations for shower and laundry times, etc. can be made on site.
